Indy band The xx is to perform with BBC Philharmonic in East Yorkshire.
Part of a special concert series this autumn, the free event will see The xx, who won the Mercury Prize in 2010, playing orchestral arrangements of songs from their first two albums at The Spa in Bridlington on September 19.
The East Yorkshire concert is due to be broadcast on Radio 1 and will feature material arranged with composer Alex Baranowski. He said as well as arrangements from songs from The xx's first two albums, the evening would feature "some new orchestral material".
The second BBC Philharmonic Presents…festival will also see the orchestra collaborating with guitarist Richard Hawley.
Held at venues across the north of England - including the BBC's new MediaCityUK complex in Salford -- other shows in the free autumn series will feature the music of Miles Davis and the James Bond films.
Last year's festival saw dance act Nero teaming up with the Philharmonic to showcase a "dubstep symphony".
