We've made BIG changes to the Karoo network

We've upgraded our broadband network to give you the New Generation of broadband services, based on the latest ADSL2+ technology. With our new, improved technology in place, all customers on our Karoo Lite, Mid and Pro packages will be automatically upgraded, completely FREE of charge!

To receive the best speeds possible on your line, it is important to ensure you are connecting with an ADSL2+ compatible device.

Hardware supplied by Kingston Communications

Hardware currently supplied by Kingston Communications is ADSL2+ compliant and has been fully tested on our network. However, some older devices are not compatible with the new technology (although you will still be able to connect to the internet), so unfortunately, you will be unable to take advantage of the enhanced speed and stability of the ADSL2+ service.

Please check the table below to see if your device is compatible. If it isn't, you can give us a call on 01482 602444 and we will be happy to upgrade your hardware to one of two ADSL2+ compatible, tried and tested options that will work with Karoo Broadband straight out of the box:

The Speedtouch 536 modem/router offers two ways of connecting to your computer, Ethernet and USB1.1. Although the device is ADSL2+ compliant, if you connect the device to your computer using the USB connection, due to the speed limitations of USB1.1 technology (which has a maximum 12Mbps connection speed), you may not see the full benefits of ADSL2+ services. We would recommend that you connect your computer using the Ethernet connection, which has a maximum speed of 100Mbps. However, most customers will buy the Speedtouch 536 modem/router for the USB connection.
