Our Promise to you...
We are proud to provide broadband services to the people of Hull and surrounding areas and we want our customers to be delighted with the services we supply. Many thousands already are, but that’s not good enough for us, which is why we’re working hard to improve every aspect of our broadband offering. So to demonstrate our commitment to providing you with the best possible service, these are our promises to you...
- We promise to...keep our Customer Service calls free
- We promise to...keep our Customer Service Team local
- We promise to...tell you if there’s a better Karoo package for you
We are proud of the part that KC plays in the economy of Hull and East Yorkshire and in the local community more generally. Around 1100 of our employees are based here, which makes us one of the region’s largest employers. We also support the local economy as a customer of many businesses in the region.
Our support of the local community also extends to the relationships we have with some of Hull’s key organisations:
- Through our sponsorship of the KC Stadium we support the aspirations of the city and the many sporting, cultural and educational activities that take place there.
- Our close connection to the local community is also reflected in our sponsorship of Hull City AFC and the benefits it brings to the club.
- We are the main sponsor of KCFM 99.8, an independent, locally-owned and run radio station. Our sponsorship of the station is important in giving it the support it needs to become established and build its base of listeners and advertisers so that it can grow and successfully play a part in the local community.
- Our sponsorship of the Deep’s Learning Centre gives The Deep the opportunity to develop exciting educational activities that benefit local people of all ages, from events that support the National Curriculum to adult education workshops.
- Our support of the local charity ‘Children's University’, involves KC employees delivering educational modules to pupils in schools across Hull. Children are given learning opportunities that go beyond and complement the National Curriculum, playing a part in improving educational attainment in Hull.
- Our community grants scheme provides funding for small projects in schools, youth clubs, sports teams and other organisations that would otherwise need to rely on the often difficult task of raising funds themselves. This scheme supports 12 community projects each year.
- Our commitment to the local community was also evident throughout the floods that affected Hull and East Yorkshire in June 2007. During and following the events, we did whatever we could to ease the strain felt by those affected. We were pleased and proud to do what we could for the community, as any responsible business would be.
