How to secure my wireless connection

Secure your wireless connection

• Type http://192.168.0.1 into the Internet Explorer address bar and click ‘Go’



• Enter ‘admin’ and the username and ‘password’ as the password. Click OK



• Click on ‘Wireless Settings’.
• Change the ‘Name (SSID)’ to a more familiar name, unique to yourself and other users of the same wireless connection
• Ensure ‘Region’ is set to Europe
• Scroll down and select ‘WPA-PSK’ under the ‘Security Options’ heading
• Enter a unique password (that you can remember) in the ‘Network Key’ field. Click ‘Apply’

The wireless connection is now secured and ready for your wireless laptop or wireless adapter to connect to it.
