How to Setup My Thomson TG585v7 wireless router.

Setting up your Thomson TG585v7 54Mbps wireless router
Step 1 – check you have everything you need
When you receive your Thomson wireless router (as purchased from KC) you should also find in the box:
- External power adapter
- 1 x CAT5 straight Ethernet cable
- 1 x RJ11 cable
- An installation guide
If you think any of this is missing, please call the Technical Support team on 01482 606101.
Step 2 – is my PC or Laptop ready for a router?
You need to ensure your PC or laptop is capable of receiving an Ethernet connection to work with a router. This means there is an Ethernet port on the back or side of the computer. If you are unsure, take a look at the article 'Is my PC ready for a router'?
