What do the ‘Attachment filters’ do?
The attachment filters allow you to block attachment types in emails. You will still receive the email, just without the attachment. Attachment filters are divided into three different categories. If you select one of these, every file type within that category will be blocked.
Unlike your spam email, you cannot retrieve a blocked attachment.
The categories include the following file types:
Executable Files - This filter will block any Windows executables (programs) with the following extensions:

| cpl | Windows Control Panel Extensions |
| hta | HTML Application |
| htt | Microsoft Hypertext Template |
| wms | Windows Media Services |
| lnk | Windows Shortcut File |
| cmd | Command File |
| pif | Microsoft Windows Program Information file |
| exe | Executable Program (DOS/Windows) |
| com | Command (memory image of executable program; DOS/Windows) |
| src | Screen Saver (Windows) |
| bat | Batch File (DOS) |
Perl, Javascript and binary files - This filter will block scripts and binary files with the following extensions:

| bin | Binary Files |
Media Files - This filter will block any audio, video or image files with the following extensions:
| aac | Apple Audio File |
| aiff | Audio File |
| asf | Media File |
| avi | Video File |
| swf | Flash Animation/Video File |
| midi | MIDI Music File |
| mov | Quicktime Video File |
| mp3 | Audio File |
| mpeg | Video File |
| ogg | Ogg Vorbis Audio File |
| ram | Real Audio Media File |
| snd | Audio File |
| wav | Audio File |
