Check existing settings in Netscape Navigator
First open Netscape and go to Edit at the top, then preferences.
Once the preferences box has come up, move down to navigatior on the left and click on it once. It should change the details on the right. In the Homepage section the location URL should be http://www.karoo.co.uk/
Then move down and click on the plus next to advanced, it should bring out a sub menu underneath it. Click on proxies and it should change the details on the right. You need a bullet point on the 'Manual proxy configuration'
Click on the view button next to 'manual Proxy configuration' and it should bring up another menu with all the proxy addresses in. The proxy address is proxy.karoo.co.uk port: 8080
Now your Internet settings are done. Here are your email settings
Keep in the preferences box and click on the plus next to mail and newsgroups and it should bring down a sub menu. Then click on identity and make sure you have your name and your email address in.
Then click on Mail server and make sure you have the mail server names in correctly.
Incoming mail : popmail.karoo.co.uk
Outgoing mail : smtp.karoo.co.uk
To edit the incoming mail server you need to click on edit if there is already one there, if not click on add. If you are adding one you just put in the pop server name and your loging name which should be your username.
To setup your news server click on Newsgroup Server on the left. Then on the right click add. Your news server address is news.karoo.co.uk. Thats all you need to do for your news settings.
