1) Select File and then Identities, and then add new identity from the Outlook Express 5 menu bar.

2) Enter a name for this identity. If you wish to password protect it check the box. When you check the box a window will automatically open for you to insert the password details (see step 3). If you don't wish to password protect it then go to step 4.

3) Insert the password that you require in the boxes provided and click OK.

4) Outlook Express 5 will automatically prompt you to ask if you wish to switch identity now. If you select yes Outlook Express 5 will automatically switch the identity. If you select no you will be taken to the Manage Identities window (see step5).

5) In the manage identities window you will be able to create another identity, remove an identity or view the identity’s properties. You can also select the default identity. This is the identity that you want to load in automatically when you initially log onto Outlook Express 5.
