The ‘new’ Newland will open in September 2013 following £11 million of new build including a two storey teaching block and sports hall in addition to the redecoration and refurbishment of the grade II listed building.
Newland School for Girls is in a great location and accessible via home-school transport from across the city (free bus pass for those living 3+ miles away) or by public transport. The school boasts a positive learning environment where ‘every girl counts’ (Ofsted 2011).
Academic standards at Newland are amongst the best in the city - 100% A*-G, 83% A*-C grades with 53% on the Gold Standard in 2011 - and are improving year on year. They offer a wide and varied curriculum at examination level, including the opportunity to gain the English Baccalaureate ensuring all girls can be successful.
